Learn Good Putting Techniques – Lower Your Score

The Right Golf Putting Techniques Put You Higher on the Golfing Food Chain

The round numbers in golf mean everything. If a new acquaintance says he plays golf then your automatic response is “What do you shoot?” Now, you can deny it if you want, but golf is a caste system. The round numbers instantly classify people in your mind, at least for their golfing ability, and more likely for your opinion of their athletic ability too. A response of the low 100s means something entirely different to you than the 70s.

Somebody could tell you that Joe was a good surgeon or a good welder but unless you had some expertise in those areas you would have no way of knowing if that were true or not. But the claim that Joe is a good golfer is immediately verifiable by the answer to “What does he shoot?”

I don’t want to get too far afield here. Being considered a “good golfer” by your peers is not the same honorific as being elected Consul in the Roman Republic but you have to admit that it does carry a certain privileged status that cuts across some of the other ways that we all tend to think of each other.

The Right Putting Technique Means Lower Numbers

So, where am I going with this? Easy. If there were a simple, straightforward way to take your golf game to the next round number you would want to know about it?

Improve your putting technique – you improve your game – you lower your scores. Better putting is the first thing that you should focus on for three good reasons:

1. Putts, on average, account for about 40% of your golf score. If you shoot 108 then you probably take 42-43 putts per round. If you shoot 95 then you probably take 36-38 putts per round.

2. You can learn how to be a good putter at home, at the office, or even on a trip out of town.

3. You don’t need long, stringy muscles. You don’t have to be able to do a pushup, or even have good posture.

Anybody can be a good putter. The reason that you are not is because you have never been taught the right way to putt.

This is why I recommend Scott Myers’ ebook, Breakthrough Putting Secrets Revealed.

Everything From Putter Length To Ball Position – Nothing But Golf Putting Techniques

Scott doesn’t tell you about the Ernie Els swing. He breaks down putting into its essential components so you can easily understand and internalize what you have to do to make a good putt.

He tells you how to grip the putter and explains the deceptive appearance in your grip that causes all golfers to believe the wrong thing about making a good putt!

He tells you the single most important key to accuracy and how to make it your own.

He tells you how to discover the ideal position your ball needs to be in for your body to assure perfect contact and a true roll on each and every putt.

There’s a lot more too.

Scott’s book taught me one visual clue about how to see the line on a big breaking putt that helped me make a huge birdie putt in a match I had to win. If I only learned that one thing then I got my money’s worth, and would be forever grateful.

But I also found out that I was also making the #1 mistake of most handicap golfers and correcting that made my good putting more consistent. The confidence of knowing that you can go out there and do less than 30 putts a round every time makes a big difference in your attitude when the rest of your game is not going so well.

Well, you can judge Scott’s book for yourself. It comes with an 8 week money back guarantee so you can get all your money back if it doesn’t help you.
